Introduction climbing

We love to teach who starts because the illusion of the new is something unrepeatable and it fills us with joy to see the faces of nerves, excitement and euphoria when someone learns to climb for the first time, it is something that hooks us.
Climbing is a physical activity inherent in the human being.
Starting from this basis, because we like to be a picky eater, we will guide you in your progress.

At Ascendo we know that body awareness is the first and only way to any goal where physical activity is relevant.
We do not train professionals or do advanced training.
We move away from sport, and we link ourselves to physical activity.
With that said, do you want to learn to climb?

First day

We do the course in two sessions, divided into two weekends, so as not to accumulate fatigue or excess knowledge.
In this way we will also solve the doubts that are generated in this interval.
The course is appropriate for all audiences, and the approach will be very short.
In a first session, we look for adaptation to the material, basic position and gestures:

• String management.
  Detangling and folding of ropes, plating and assembly manoeuvre.
• Insurance devices.
  Insurers, express straps and anchor sleeves.
• Anchorage identification.
  Parabolts and common meetings.
• Footwear and accessories.
  Harness, climbing shoes and helmet (magnesium stays at home).
• Base balance.
  Support on the minimum support.
• General technique.
  Posture of rest, attack and insurance.

Perhaps this description seems complicated, it is not, we take care of all the gear:

• climbing ropes
• individual harness
• carabiners
• insurance devices
• helmets
• supplementary teaching material (PDF)

What you need to bring:

• food and water (snack or taper)
• climbing shoes (if you don’t have them we rent them, let us know in time!)

As in all our courses, the price includes Civil Liability, Accident Insurance and are led by professional guides with a valid title.
